Rain - First to launch 5G in Africa
Overview
Project Description
The Rain Online-Only Mobile Network Launch and Growth project aimed to establish and sustain the growth of Rain, a disruptive mobile network provider in South Africa. Operating with minimal physical footprint and a focus on online-only purchasing, Rain introduced innovative features such as unlimited data plans and was the first to launch 5G in the country. The challenge was to navigate a historically face-to-face purchasing style in the mobile network industry, with strong competition from established players. As a key member of the launch team, my role was to streamline the ordering and registration process, ensure a smooth 5G onboarding experience, and contribute to the sustained growth of the brand.
